Riding GA-400
Stop-and-go traffic, construction and fast merges make GA-400 hard on riders.

Why GA-400 is hard on riders
- Sudden slowdowns that lead to rear-end hits
- Drivers changing lanes into a rider in their blind spot
- Long-running construction, lane shifts and uneven pavement
- Busy interchanges, including I-285
Lane position and the law
A motorcycle is entitled to the full use of a lane. Riding between lanes of traffic is generally not allowed in Georgia, and insurers will raise it if they can. Your claim may still go forward under comparative fault.
Work-zone crashes
Steel plates, grooved pavement and lane drops can take down a bike. A contractor’s work zone setup may matter, and claims involving the state have strict notice deadlines.
